Yes, Synthego CRISPRevolution RNA can be used for gene editing in Cas9 stable cell lines or with Cas9 mRNA.
In general, we recommend using the gRNA with Cas9 protein in a Ribonucleoprotein (RNP) format.
There is evidence to show that using the RNP format can reduce off-target effects, compared to other methods (Liang et al, 2015). There are several reasons why this may be the case. For example, the Cas9 protein can serve to protect the gRNA from degradation, the risk of DNA-based cellular toxicity is eliminated, and the transience of the RNP reduces the opportunity for off-target effects.
Nevertheless, Synthego RNA is compatible with Cas9 mRNA or Cas9 stable cell lines.
